The Iraqi Women Judges Association Reaffirms Its Commitment to Supporting the Journey of Women Judges and Strengthening Their Presence
Today, Tuesday, March 10, 2026, the Iraqi Women Judges Association celebrated International Women Judges Day, emphasizing that it is an important occasion to reflect on the significant role women judges play in consolidating justice and promoting the rule of law. highlighted that this day carries symbolic meanings reflecting the status of women judges and their contributions to the development of the judiciary and service to society.
During a closed virtual session attended by Association members and a distinguished group of women judges, the Association head, Judge Mrs. Taghreed Abdul Majid, stated that celebrating this occasion represents a moment of appreciation and pride for every judge who has carried the message of justice with a conscientious mind and unwavering determination, contributing through her knowledge, expertise, and professional experience to the consolidation of the rule of law and the protection of human rights.
She explained that women judges have demonstrated throughout their careers a remarkable ability to combine wisdom, fairness, and courage in upholding the truth and promoting the values of justice, reflecting the pivotal role of women in the judicial system.
