The Iraqi Female Judges Association signed, on Sunday, a Memorandum of Understanding with Nineveh Governorate aimed at strengthening cooperation and coordination across various fields related to women’s empowerment and enhancing their role in society.
The MoU was signed between the President of the Iraqi Female Judges Association, Judge Taghreed Abdul Majeed, and the Governor of Nineveh, Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil, in the presence of several female members of the Association and its administrative staff, as well as officials from the Governorate Office. The Iraqi Businesswomen Council also attended the meeting, comprising a distinguished group of businesswomen from Baghdad, Nineveh, and the Kurdistan Region.
The memorandum includes joint efforts to support women and elevate their status, in addition to developing their legal capacities and empowering them across various sectors, thereby enhancing their active participation in public life.
Both parties emphasized the importance of unifying efforts and exchanging expertise to achieve shared goals, particularly in building women’s legal capacities and strengthening their presence in official and societal institutions.
